I learnt to make lace over twenty years ago when living in Luton. I then moved to Suffolk and couldnt find a lace group I wanted to join, so, went into embroidery instead. I took a City and Guilds course in Creative Embroidery and passed Level One, which introduced me to so many disciplines in the craft world. I now am living in Welford, Northants and have found this lacegroup. Liz, my tutor, has been very patient with me and has given me the confidence to start lacemaking again after twenty years. I forgot how much I loved to 'lace' and have being making simple 'torchon' lace. Slowly, slowly Iam remebering the art and may it continue.....
